Mount Katahdin, located in Baxter State Park, Maine, stands as the northern terminus of the iconic 2,100-mile Appalachian Trail. Its highest summit, Baxter Peak, reaches an impressive 5,267 feet, making it Maine's highest point and the seventh highest peak in the Northeast.
